The issue occurs due to the `patchcmd` failing in `\patchcmd{\beamer@title}` [here](https://gitlab.jsc.fz-juelich.de/kabadshow1/beamertheme-juelich/-/blob/master/beamerfontthemeJuelich.sty#L207). My guess is that this is due to some change in the nature of the command. In specific, either `\def\inserttitle{#2}` not existing, or not be patchable anymore.

I tried setting it [here](https://gitlab.jsc.fz-juelich.de/kabadshow1/beamertheme-juelich/-/blob/master/beamerfontthemeJuelich.sty#L130):

Wouldn't it make sense to have an identical height for all logos, possibly an option to resize them relative to the height of the FZJ logo if they really need be a different size? I also noticed that resizing by height seems to make them jump left/right from title page to other pages. I guess that's why they have originally been scaled to a fixed width? This makes the `image` variation of the title slide impossible to use with titles that span more than one line, because there is not enough room for a two line title, one (empty) subtitle line and the "Date | Author | Institute" line which in this case just drops out of the bottom of the "Banderole".
I have changes in https://gitlab.version.fz-juelich.de/bsteinb/beamertheme-juelich/tree/issue13 that do not create an empty paragraph if the subtitle is empty, but those build on the changes in the unmerged !3, so I am holding off on making a pull request for now.https://gitlab.jsc.fz-juelich.de/kabadshow1/beamertheme-juelich/-/issues/12Alignment Date in Footer2019-10-15T08:03:30+02:00Andreas HertenAlignment Date in FooterThe alignment of the date in the footer does **not** play well when the month contains a g or similar. While it's easy for us to create such a thing, it might not be for novice LaTeX Beamer users.
We might consider creating a command to create a disruptor, i.e. a parameterized version of

Consider this idea very low priority.

* Section Pages and
* Subsection Pages?
And possibly also Part and Lecture? (Lecture, part, section, subsection (and subsubsection) are the structures mentioned in the Beamer Userguide, Section 10. Lecture seems to be intended to be a bit different, though. Chapters are not mentioned.)
Design-wise, I imagine a large blue box on which the section name (Section Page) or the section name followed by the subsection name in the next line (Subsection Page) is printed.
Ideally, it should be configurable by adapting an according beamer template (i.e. maybe it makes sense to invert the colors in this case to distinguish a structure page more from the title page, that is blue font on white background?). Beamer already provides according templates, e.g. `part page` or `section page`.
I personally don't need support for any background images on the structure pages. So maybe the implementation can be easier…
Beamer, out of the box, provides the commands `\sectionpage` and `\subsectionpage` and `\partpage`, which should be typeset by wrapping them inside a frame like `\frame{\sectionpage}`, see Beamer Userguide 10.2/10.3.https://gitlab.jsc.fz-juelich.de/kabadshow1/beamertheme-juelich/-/issues/7Features: Progress Bar2019-10-08T13:28:36+02:00Andreas HertenFeatures: Progress BarThe current template includes a progress bar, which currently is disabled per default (but it can be enabled easily via a `\setbeamertemplate{progressbar}[visible]`).

I understand that this is a corner case. The title frames with image do not seem to have enough vertical space for more than one line of title anyway. Still, it would be nice if this could be reverted to block indentation for the non-image title frames.https://gitlab.jsc.fz-juelich.de/kabadshow1/beamertheme-juelich/-/issues/4Foot notes collide with frame labels2018-01-13T12:31:18+01:00Benedikt Steinbuschb.steinbusch@fz-juelich.deFoot notes collide with frame labelsMinimal example is given below:

I'm using handout mode frequently (to provide a less-overlayed version of my slide) but do not want to print two slides on A4 document. In my opinion, the latter is print pre-processing and has nothing to do with giving a handout version of slides, per se.
If you agree, I can gladly implement a PGF key for it.
