Runtime check for compatible JS and python version
In case of use with JuypterLab, there is no good way to check if the version used in JupyterLab (JS-side) and in the Jupyter-kernel (python-side) is compatible. There is only an error in the JS console on the user side:
Error: "Module pvlink, semver range 0.2.2 is not registered as a widget module"
The mentioned range is defined in _frontend.py and enforces right now a strict version conformity. A way to detect this mismatch (from either python or JS) would be great (for example, it would allow to inform the user)
